to our silos

The majority of our total annual milling of around 100,000 tonnes of wheat, rye and spelt comes – how could it be otherwise – from farmers in Baden-Württemberg. We rely on close partnerships that have developed over many years: Rettenmeier Mühle supports its contract farmers in all quality-related matters – from variety selection and sowing to harvesting and quality assurance.

Working together for exceptional quality

We see agriculture and milling as teamwork. In close cooperation with our partner companies, we maintain and ensure the highest standards in grain cultivation. Our jointly defined quality philosophy categorically excludes the use of sewage sludge as fertiliser, for example.

The three principles of our purchasing policy:

  • Regionality comes first: Grain from Baden-Württemberg with proven origin and corresponding quality has absolute priority – over goods from other federal states or abroad.
  • Strict raw material control: each individual batch is carefully checked and selected before storage.
  • Quality partner for commercial goods: we source products such as durum wheat or organic grain from a partner company that shares our high quality standards.
